This was formed in 1998 by Institute of Biology, Sri Lanka, the umbrella organization for professional Biologists' (Academics, Researcher etc. ) in the country.

YBA day 2008 - Tenth Anniversary of YBA (Dahsaka Samarum)
Young Biologists Association proudly celebrates the Tenth Anniversary in April 2008.
YBA day will be held on 3 April 2008 at the National Musuem Auditorium, Colombo 7 to mark this occasion.

Tharjana 2008 - Exhibition on Threatened Fauna and Flora of Sri Lanka
This exhibition organized by YBA will be held at National Museum of the Natural History, Colombo 7, Sri Lanka from 3-5 April 2008 from 10.30 am - 3.30 pm.
This is and educational exhibition towards protection of Threatened Flora and Fauna of Sri Lanka.

Inter school Biology Quiz 2007 Winners
30 schools have participated for the Inter School Biology Quiz program organized by Institute of Biology and Young Biologists Association.
The winners of the final round were CWW Kanangara MMV, Matugama. Quarter finals of the quiz competition were telecasted on Swarnawahini starting from Friday 26th October 2007 from 4 – 5 PM.
